You see, I hate Physics so much.
The reason is so damn simple: How the hell does know how to measure atmospheric
pressure help me in my career at ALL?
Oh jeeeez!
I'm sick of all the rules and laws and all that crap... Nothing gets into
my head.
So I'm suggesting to those of you who wants to become a teacher in the future:
PLEASE, don't teach Physics.
You kill your students. =)
And your wife hates it too.
Heeheehee...
Pray for my test tomorrow, I hope I pass? Lol what the hell, of course I would.
You see,
I love Physics.
...when the damn scores are counted in TA3.

Haha I had such a great day!
=)
Oh by the way, about that Joshua Lim thing, we should just call it a day okay?
=)
John came to me in the morning and said something nasty about him, I shall
not share it with you. Hehehe... =P Now we shall just let him continue sucking
up and leave him alone okay? Gabriel and I was talking about the SUDDEN change
in attitude in him to suck up again, haix... What a retard.
OH CRAP! I remembered I should not be blogging about garbage. Okay forgive
me, it's the last time.
I've got some great news to share...
I'm a PSF!!!! WOOHOO!!!
Peer Support Facilitator! WAHAHAHAHA!
And I'm in Spirits, together with many people like Michael, Roderick, Javier,
Agung, Jinghan and Nigel all that... Haha so SONG!!!! =) Happy nei, not everyone
can get a chance to become one you see... Congrats to the many others as well,
you guys deserve it! =)
There has been things going on about Goh Eng Wei... He got into uncountable
troubles with many many teachers, and being left for his interview, he still
manage to get into the PSF board. I was quite shocked, and many others came
shouting at me in the morning: "OMG WHAT THE HELL?!! WHY THIS KIND OF
PERSON CAN GET IN ONE?!! THEN CHUXIAN LEH? JONATHAN GOH LEH?"
Have been hearing it for the entire morning.
I don't know what to say, I can't judge on Eng Wei. I think he's quite nice
lah, maybe just abit naughty? I really don't know. People are going to complain.
It's scary. =S
Okay, that's all for today. Have fun guys, it's going to be fun...
Real fun.
=)
Oh, before I forget, something I drew for my Chinese homework:

It's gonna be a harsh post.
Cause I am angry. Okay, not angry in the sense that I am REALLY angry, but
angry because I feel so bad for a friend.
Below are posts taken from Gabriel's blog:
http://choirboy888.blogspot.com/
A few days ago (Direct extract):
Joshua Lim.. my AGL was the subject everyone at the cafe was talking about.
i used to think dat he was ok but after hearing stories about him being so
malicious i think of him otherwise.. he is jus lyk ahmad.. both lyk to ask
and ask and ask questions jus to suck up and can still say other ppl suc up..
haiz really pot calling the kettle black..
A few days later (Direct
extract):
sry for those rude comments.. Pls forgive me k.. Actually u r ok la jus dat
i dun noe why i was so influenced go and rite bout dat..

. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . .
Okay, I am going to be truthful, I don't care about language anymore.
You see, I'm not scared, even if that Joshua Lim guy still reads my blog,
it just shows that he's a loser who can't let go and go on. I can't even remember
his blog URL now, who even goes to that deserted blog anyway? HA! Okay maybe
I should respect him alittle, cause I think he STILL reads my blog, of course
he will... He will check back everyday to see whether people write bad things
about him... Haix, what a SMALL person... And anything he does to hurt you
back will simply show that he still read your stuff, so just be glad.
Hi Joshua, thanks for reading my blog again! =)
So you see, Gabriel is blogging about the most normal thing on earth and I
suppose that Joshua Lim guy saw it, and of course, by NATURE, he is pissed.
Not realising that he is at fault, he will purposely make things difficult
for Gabriel. If not Gabriel would not have to be so apologitic in his post.
You see my little friend, you really DON'T have to be so sorry. God says we
should speak the truth and not lie, so I think you have done a great job there.
Yeah, no worries about that okay? And so what if he is your AGL? You will
eventually take over, and make the Morning Assembly duty much better, now
without the "AGL" who can't even make announcements properly. =)
Oh, and although I don't really know what has REALLY happened in the Cafe
that day, I can tell you discussing about this guy is really not worthy. You
see, if you have time, go to friendster. =)
Another piece of solid evidence from his friendster profile:
http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=5483256
Direct extract:
Who I Want to Meet:
everyone... lets just focus on who i dun want to meet
ppl that are
-back stabbers
-ppl that cannot keep to their job and like to steal other people's jobs
-ppl that are dishonest
-ppl that keep me in the dark about things
-ppl that cant keep to their word
-hypocrites
-ppl that make use of others
all the above
mentioned, pls stay away..
.
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . .
Okay, so does that mean he will have to stay away from himself? OH HO HO!
Why does ALL of the above qualities match with his? Okay, maybe he wrote them
while looking at the mirror. =) And look at how oxymoronic he can be... "Who
I Want to Meet: everyone... lets just focus on who i dun want to meet"
I want to meet everyone, but let's focus on the people I don't want to meet.
Retarded or retarded? I dunno, you choose.
Okay, that shall end my lovely post today.
Now I feel so much better. What a relief...
I love my blog!
I can express anything I want!
=)
Gabriel, this is the objective of keeping a blog, and that is to write about
anything you desire. =)
So don't be afraid, write all you want!
Have fun bloggers!
=)
PS: Meanwhile Gabriel, just ignore him and live goes on. Don't worry too much,
the more you worry, the sadder you get. Maybe you shouldn't even think about
him anyway, waste time. I think I have wasted enough energy on this guy, so
this will be the last time I mention his name on my blogging ground. Anything
else regarding him would just be plain garbage.
Do I sound harsh?
I didn't meant to be! Oh ho ho...
*I've picked up that oxymoronic thing so fast! Woohoo!*

What life!
Maybe I can sincerely tell you now, 2005 has been the busiest year of my life.
I'm doing so many things which simply tires the shit out of me... Can't even
breath sometimes... But I'm not complaining, it's better than being someone
useless and not doing a thing. =)
Okay before my ultra long post today, let's take a look at the cover of this
book which I truly recommend. Please don't exit the blog, I know I've done
this many times already. ^^
-----------0-------------------
------------------
Buy it in Kinokuniya, under Japanese Literature. Went to look for
it with YY that day, and it costs $25+... Not bad, considering the fact that
my copy was alot more expensive. Bleah...
Okay anyways, yesterday was SJI's Sports Fiesta... It was fun! Haha, but it
was like a total waste of time. ... ... Self-contradicting. Okay nevermind.
=)
I enjoyed it! Haha, really... I was one of those who was called on for duty
on that day, together with many others... The day started off pretty well,
and I LOVED Ouxiang's Lemon Jelly drink!! Hahaha... Ouxiang's mum made it,
and I had 2 cups of it... =P... Cheers for Michael! Haha... The chicken wings
& Nasi Lemak were good as well... AHHHHHHHH!!! I'm hungry now. =(
I was in-charge of Match Stewards at the hockey pitch... It was scorching,
considering that the sun was right on top of us... I had Qibin and cute little
Aaron with me, then Lucas came over with Fauzi and all that... Haha we talked
crap as usual, walked around to record scores, hanged around behind the St.
Joseph's Statue to get food and all that... And I loved the song dedication
thing, great way to get entertained because sometimes, you just get bored.
Oops... =X Hehe...
After a few hours of getting burnt-for-nothing, it was about to rain, at last.
You can see the clouds up there, so black. Oh, talking about black, I really
hate those over-sensitive Indians. =="lll So me and Lucas were like talking
about Kelly Clarkson and this stupid guy came to us and asked some dunno-what
question which is totally irrelevant, so we got pissed off and somehow I forgot
what happened, and I said something like "Behind these Black Eyes"
(orginated from Kelly Clarkson's "Behind these Hazel Eyes")... That
guy, surprisingly, only managed to absorb the word "BLACK". And
he started this debate on racism. What the hell.
If BLACK is racist then I think he should stop eating BLACK Soya Sauce. Okay,
no, he should just cut off all his hair and then ____________________... Oh
gosh, nevermind. =) So then he started saying that his eyes are brown and
all that. We almost started a racial riot, only a few days after Racial Harmony
Day, thanks to that OXYMORONIC boy. T.T
Okay so, where was I? OH! The rain... Okay, so it started to rain, and we
went for shelter and then blah blah, the whole thing ended at 16:00++... and
I was dead tired. Thank God they didn't ask me to clear up the rubbish. Haha!
Some pictures I took before the encounter with Mr. I-hate-black...

I wanna do a movie review now, hands itchy. Hehehe...
"The Upside of Anger".
-----------------------------------------------=----------
--------000
You'll be so upset
if you missed this.
Another fantastic independent film. I wonder why the great movies all come
from this category. Low budget, but yet so full of emotions. I love this style.
After being abandoned by her husband, a woman finds her life changed when
a once-great baseball star steps in as her drinking buddy and becomes an ad-hoc
member of the dysfunctional family.
I didn't even hear there's such a person called Joan Allen before this movie.
But her performance in this film is totally impressive. It was as though she
wasn't really acting. She was her!
I had no idea what this movie was about before I watch it. I found myself
with some free time and watched this movie due to plain curiosity.
What
a pleasant surprise!
I was blown away by the performance of Joan Allen and to a lessor extent the rest of the cast. In addition, the screenplay was witty, intelligent and thought provoking. This is the kind of film that makes you think of the theme, which is about family and love. The genre of the film is "drama", but I would say it is not just plain drama, it should be a drama + comedy combo. The movie is hilarious, and the humour is not just those lame stuff you see in those mediocore productions, this one is in its high-level. I had so much of laughters.
This is a must
see type of film and MOST probably, it would be an oscar nomination for Joan
Allen.
Overall rating for "The Upside of Anger": 10/10
*Definitely in my Movie of the Year*...

There was CLS in the afternoon, the sec ones were watching "Spirited

they enjoyed it...
We had such a fun and interesting discussion on the Racial Harmony day sales
in Binni's classroom... Had been talking cock all the while, haha... Zheng,
Xu and Wen laoshi were all there too... Laughed so much I can't believe I'm
still alive... Lol... Thanks to Binni, Lucas, Feng Kai, Yang Jun, Huan Lin
and Hellgirl for all the fun! Lol... It would be a great day tomorrow... It's
gonna be sooo fun...
I would be selling fried doughsticks (you tiao) in the stalls tomorrow...
Remember to bring a few dollars to buy from us ya! Haha... Believe me the
food is good, come with an empty stomach, and we will fill it up for you...
Heehee...
See you tomorrow! =)
PS: Greatest luck to Ouxiang for his finals! =) And all the canoeists as well...
Including Yuhao and Weishun. =)

Rainy day.
So cold.
Shivering cold.
As many of you would have known, I had my Peer Support Facilitators interview
yesterday. According to Gabriel (oh btw, congrats for passing your 2.4 today...
^^), PSF is a very high position in school, probably because there can only
be 30 of them in the school at one time. I agreed to that very much, and I
believed in it too. Without PSFs, the secondary one orientation camp would
not be possible, and even the well-prepared looking PSLs are trained by them,
so who can say that they are NOT important?
Anyways, the interview was not that "serious and intense"... It
was easy-going and I actually had fun! Haha... Can't reveal much because some
of you PSF-wannabes will be going for it soon... Hehehe... =P
Oh yah! The stupid Harry Potter book has just arrived in our school library,
so if you want it, you can go borrow... But the list is really LONG... You
will have to wait for at LEAST a few months. =) I don't bother, cause I don't
even read that shit...
Oh by the way I'm hooked to Dan Brown... I don't know why... He seems to be
writing the same stuff, Robert Langdon being called up to investigate on a
murder case and all that... But I just can't stop reading once I started...
Oh well... He's a good writer... =) I'm now heading on the "Angels and
Demons"... Mmm...
I've been listening to 2 old albums recently... Didn't review on them... But
I'll do a quick one. =)

Let me continue advertising about my recent favourite Japanese
book & movie.
"Crying out love, in the centre of the World"
---------------------------![]()
In Chinese, I think most of you should know this... from my
MSN nick: <<Zai Shi Jie De Zhong Xin, Hu Han Ai>>...
Lovely name, lovely story, lovely movie.
Sekai no Chushin de, Ai wo Sakebu, a Japanese romance novel by Katayama Kyoichi,
sold over 3 million copies in Japan alone, is now adapted into one of the
biggest hits of the summer box office in Japan. The film Crying Out Love,
In The Centre Of The World, directed by Yukisada Isao and Shibasaki Kou, who
brings great performances into one of the most loved and romantic films.
Shikoku is the place where Sakutaro met his first love, Aki (Nagasawa Masami).
Sakutaro and Aki are deeply with one another, but Aki suffered from a fatal
disease and passed away. While Sakutaro is seraching for Ritsuko, he was looking
through objects from his past, and he discovers a message from Aki...
-----------------------------------------------
---------
It has
been long eversince I was touched by a moving film.
Thanks to this great novel, I found the long lost feeling. It's amazing. I
cried.
Watched it yesterday with YY in Cathay Cineleisure. Supposed to be watching
the 19:10 one, but it was like fully booked, so we had no choice but to squeeze
into the 21:50 slot one. We were pretty determined, didn't want to watch anything
else other than this.
We hanged around in Kinokuniya to "waste time"... Haha... The whole
book store is fulled with "Harry Potter" stuff... So =="lll...
Okay nevermind. =)
Dinner was pretty lousy, I hated the food in Taka... But we had Beard Papa..
Haha... =P.......
We entered the threater after seeing some retards doing their mad para-para
crap. The movie was 2 hours long, and I cried twice throughout. YY rubbed
her eyes until her lens drop. Wahaha...
Okay let's talk about the movie.
I want you to watch it, so I won't mention much about the story.
Just like any other Japanese films, directing can be quite poor. Colours are
also missing and the pictures seemed like as if they have not been processed.
The Japanese are best at bringing out emotions to touch you. And once again,
this film didn't fail to do so.
--------------------------------
-------
Because it's a movie, things have been modified. It is different from the
novel which I've read... Hence, I am downloading the drama version on BT now...
=P It's huge man... 1.7GB with 11 episodes... Mmm... I'm only 20% done...
I enjoyed the show. I did.
And I think YY too. =)
Overall rating for "Crying out love, in the centre of the World":
9/10
PS: Do you know that Yanzi's "Wo Ye Hen Xiang Ta" is the Chinese
theme song for the movie?
Reached home at 01:15... Haha... It was late. =P But I had fun... Thanks YY...
^^
Oh by the way, I've finished "The Da Vinci Code"... The ending is
abit... confusing? Maybe Dan Brown wants me to have more space for imagination.
=)

While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an
urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered
inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. While
working to solve the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads
to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci -- clues visible for all
to see -- yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion -- an actual secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci, among others.
In a breathless
race through Paris, London, and beyond, Langdon and Neveu match wits with
a faceless powerbroker who seems to anticipate their every move. Unless Langdon
and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory's ancient
secret -- and an explosive historical truth -- will be lost forever.
Very thought-provoking. Challenges the faith of many, WG truly recommend this
book to anyone who seeks fun. =)

We
had a giant combined dinner yesterday, SJI + Nanyang + many other ex-gymmers.
We flooded Marina Bay South, with 120 people in total. 120 x $10 = $1200 of
income for the business in one night. Wahaha... It's real cheap. $10 for a
buffet steamboat + BBQ, with a wide selection of anything you want. They actually
have seafoods like crabs and mussels and all that. Fresh. Too cheap to be
true. Great place to consider for outings.
We ate plentiful, till we got bloated. Well of course, just like any other
gym occasions, we love to waste food. =) Haha I shall not go deep into that
part.
After the fantastic dinner, some of us went for bowling in Superbowl. Played
a few games, then papa, Kaiyin and Yirong joined in... We played till 00:45+...
It was pretty late, and my fingers were getting painful already. =)

I love the background music... It's so nice. Hehehe...
Okay anyways, CLS had this Chinese Dining Etiquette thing with the sec ones
today. It was so chaotic. The sec ones were like AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol. Noisy, noisy, noisy.
Can't believe we pulled it through. Everyone did a great job. It was sucessful,
I would say. =)
But it tired me out. Seriously... I felt so out of energy after the 1 hour
long session... Wahaha... I was worrying too much. Bleahhhh...
Got home and did some homework and revision, then I read a few chapters of
the "Da Vinci Code"... Would be able to finish it soon. =)
Also watched a movie, "Spirited Away" just to relax. A movie from
my all-time favourite director, Hayao Miyazaki.
-----------0----------------------------
-----------------
In
Chinese, the movie is called "Qian Yu Qian Xun". Love the title
itself, a very artsy name. =)
If you have watched "Howl's Moving Castle", you would know the director.
He never failed to impress with his animation masterpieces. This one is no
exception. Winner of the 75th Academy Awards - "Best Animation Film".
Beating hot favourite Hollywood movies like "Ice Age" and "Lilo
and Stitch"... Not easy for a Japanese film.
Once the highest grossing film in Japan and director Hayao Miyazaki's supposed
last animated motion picture, this film did manage to meet most of my expectations.
The story about a girl who is transported into a spirit world was told well,
and was directed perfectly. The visuals are just as beautiful as the direction.
Chihiro, a 12 year old Japanese school girl is moving from the large, crowded city to the small, quiet suburbs. "It will be an adventure, Chihiro," her father assures her. And it is quite an adventure she gets. Chihiro and her parents get transported to a spirit world while they stop to take a break at what seems to be an old abandoned amusement park. Chihiro's parents are turned into pigs, but Chihiro isn't. Chihiro is befriended by a mysterious boy named Haku, who helps her get a job at a bath house for gods and monsters. The bath house is run by a witch named Yubaba.
As usual, the
excellent direction and superb performance in the Japanese version of the
movie has lifted up to everyone's expection. There weren't many amazing special
effects, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. The movie is great just
the way Studio Ghibli has delivered it to us. The characters could have been
explained further, but with my past experiences with Miyazaki's movies, I
have noticed he doesn't like to reveal too much about a character.
But then, it's still a masterpiece.
The music would haunt me for another few days.
=)

Wow... I didn't blog for 4 days... Mmm... Today's gonna be
a long one. =)
Before I forget, let me say some best wishes first:
Goodest luck to all gymmers who will be competiting next week. May God be
with you guys to keep you safe and calm.
Also, my blessings to Ming Fai and Pei Tze who will be getting married next
week. It would be a beautiful wedding. =)
Okay, there has been so
many things happening recently... Let's start with one which happened this
thursday. The Nationals for Trampoline.
-----------0-------------------
-----------------
It was an anually held event for trampers in CCAB.
365 days of training for 1 day.
The life of a gymnast.
It was tense for many people. Nigel was so nervous that he actually cried.
It was pretty scary seeing the juniors struggle with the warm-ups. But we
told ourselves to be strong. And we remained strong.
-----------0-------------------
-----------------
The hall was soon flooded with people. Gymnasts, parents, supporters, and
irrelevant people who just want to see what was happening. In the previous
years, we would usually see many banners being hanged up on the 2nd floor,
but this year, all we have is 2 banners. Nanyang and SJI.
This showed our dominance in this sport.
The SJI and Nanyang C' division teams put up outstanding performances to clinch
gold for both team and individual events. So proud of them... Especially Ernest,
who scored 7.50 and brought back the 2nd gold for SJI. =) They were happy,
I can see they were.
Dominic and Randall were in tears. It was a memorable moment... it really
was.
-----------0-------------------
-----------------
-----------0-------------------
----------
After their outstanding performances, pressure builds up in
the B' division teams. It was very challenging as no judge would be merciful
enough to give one school 2 team golds. Scores for both SJI and Nanyang B'
division teams were low. A minor mistake can give you a big deduction. However,
after putting up a tough fight, our team managed to come in 3rd and Nanyang,
2nd.
Satisfactory results. A big rock has landed low. Our mission has ended. =)
The juniors were happy, they still were after hours of celebration. Haha!
-----------0------------------------------------
-----------------
The A' division were many dominated by ex-SJI or Nanyang gymnasts.
The golds are mainly collected by papa's students. Haha... According to Sean,
he has 5 individual golds and 2 team golds under his name. Not counting the
silvers and bronzes somemore... Wahahaha... =P
It's a fruitful year. Great job gymnasts! =)
Oops, I forgot to congrat Sean. =) Gong xi. ^^
Next up, the SJI Renaissance 2005.
-----------0------------------------------------
-----------------
Pretty good, I would say. Didn't actually buy the tickets... Haha... Sneaked
in with Lucas after a loooooooooooooong session with Zheng laoshi doing the
props for the upcoming Chinese Dining Etiquette session. The performance started
right on time. 19:30. Alvan and somebody else whom I didn't actually know
were the 2 hosts. They were like... @@"lll................ Lol... Okay,
lame. Hahaha... I can't find any other vocabulary to describe them. One was
constantly teasing the other, calling him names like "Quek" and
all that, whereas the other tries to defend himself with all might. They were
struggling... and the atmosphere just gets colder and colder. And with a right
guess, I suppose Brother Michael went to them during the interval. They toned
down ALOT in the 2nd half of the show. Thank God. Hahaha...
The band picked good songs and I think they did a great job. The SJI military
band, the junior band and the alumni band all performed well. However like
ALL SJI posessions, we are always good at first, then gradually weaken. Great
> Good > Fair > Poor > Lousy.
Okay, I'm not saying it's lousy. It's just... slacking down at certain periods
of the show. I can see lesser enthusiasm on the audiences' faces. Oh well...
I love the ending. The series of "Phantom of the Opera" musicals
were like planned for me? Hahaha... And I can't believe they actually played
"Lao Shu Ai Da Mi" in the 2nd encore... Impressive. =) The band
is keeping up with our modern music industry... Heehee...
Ultimately, they did a fantastic job. =)
Next year, I'll be there again. ^^

Show ended at like 22:15++... Lucas and I were hungry. Didn't eat
anything eversince lunch... It was a bad starving experience... And worst
still, we couldn't wait till we get home to eat... it will be far too late.
Hence, we took a quick bus to Junction 8 for dinner? Okay, supper. =)
Had Mos Burger... We ate pretty hastily and it was like 23:00 when we finished.
Haha... Strangely, Junction 8 is still filled with lots of people... Mmm...

Okay. My post still continues! Haha... I told you it would
be long... =P
I wanna do a movie review on "Initial D".
-----------0-----------
-----------------
Did you watch it because of Jay Chou? Or because of the great directors?
Or is it because... others watch it..? Haha... I hope it's not the last one.
It was a great movie. It deserves the outstanding box office performance.
Thanks to Jay Chou, the movie is even more sucessful.
For those who have watched it, you would feel that the entire movie was made
differently from any other Hong Kong films. It's new, it's refreshing. The
music and directing are something which you don't get to see in many other
movies. It feels like a Japanese movie more than like a Hong Kong film. I
loved that.
It’s Initial D. It’s a world of car drifting where the battlefield
is the mountain road.
For five years,
18-year old Takumi has been delivering tofu in his father’s obsolescent
Toyota AE86 every morning. Not only has he become an outstanding racer, but
he has also unwittingly perfected the art of drifting. He was never partial
to hill racing until he is nudged by his father to drive his AE86 in a David
and Goliath race against RX-7 FD. A glorious but unexpected victory awakens
the competitive genes in his body, while his overnight fame inevitably leads
to hell-raising races one after another, each one more perilous and exciting
than the previous one.
Jay Chou doesn't have to ACT at all. He just have to be himself. Really. That's
why you find his acting so real and good. Impressive.
The story was strong and easy to understand. However there was no character
development in the Anne Suzuki's part. Quite a disappointment, I have no wonder
why she has to have sex with her uncle also. =S Loved Anthony Wong's acting
as well, very funny yet skillful. Great effort.
I love the music as well, thought that it was very well composed. Close to
Hollywood standard. !!!! I got the soundtracks... excellent music.
Haha... As I've said, directing is impressive as well. The duo who directed
the 3 episodes of "Infernal Affair" were never better. This latest
production is made for them.
Ultimately, I love the entire movie.
Overall rating for "Initial D": 9.5/10

I never neglected you.
Competition is tomorrow.
I'll be graceful and strong.
Like Edwin said, just give your best.
The outcome?
Let God decide.
Thanks to all the encouragements from everyone.
Ouxiang, thanks ya! ^^
And all those who are tagging as well...
=)

I am living in fear.
Somehow I've lost my direction. I'm on the wrong side on the road.
I'm lost.
I'm feeling empty.
So empty.
5 days to competition.
I still can't do a nice twist-face yet. It's pretty scary.
I never got so scared before.
I need not compete at all. I've done 2 years of this and my CCA points are
more than enough to do anything.
It's difficult.
It's my responsiblilty.
It's my mission.
I can tell myself not to compete at all.
I wanted to.
I hoped to.
But now I really can't.
It's so unfair to so many people.
I can't give up.
I believe I can do it.
I must overcome my fears.
I can.
I know, I can.
God, please help me.
I know.
I can.
Planned for a outing today. It was supposed to be "War of the Worlds"
with Zhao Loong and Deyong. But Deyong couldn't make it, last minute thing.
Hence we didn't go. Lucas then called and we have decided to go for it, and
then head to Chinatown to buy chopsticks for the upcoming Chinese Etiquette
thing. Met him in Novena, had lunch in Balestier and went for the 117 minute
long movie.
Excited.
Extremely excited.
Ultra super duber excited.
......
.....
....
...
..
.
Disappointed.

Okay, it was something which I have been waiting for.
Saw the trailer before watching "The Interpreter."
Very impressive.
But the movie itself was disappointing...
From Steven Spielberg? It's even more disappointing.
Did we expect too much? Or is there something there which he has always been
missing?
I fell in love with him eversince his movie "A.I.:
Artificial Intelligence." Following movies like "Minority
Report", "Catch Me
If You Can" and "The
Terminal" has never been missed by me. I love them all. But from his
latest production, I saw a deep hole, something which many others would see
as well.

The trouble with remaking a classic in modern times is that in paying hommage
to the original you overlook its flaws. The original premise of aliens being
undone by nature rather than man spoke volumes on man's place on Earth. This
message is more pertinant today than it ever was back then so I can forgive
the naive notion that aliens would fly billions of miles to earth only to
forget their space suits. After all, we've all been warned a thousand times
to not drink the water in Mexico, but Montezuma still has his revenge.
My issues are with Spielberg's choices of updated science within the film. Why bury the ships underground for a million years if you want to take over the planet. Wouldn't it have been easier to take over back then without all those pesky humans running around? If the ships were placed there back then, wouldn't they have known that there were microbes and viruses that were harmful to them? If the pilots are fired via little ships into the ground where is the mother ship? Perhaps this is actually more of a prequel to Independence Day (after all the aliens do look a lot alike). Why are humans vaporized but their clothes remain intact? Clearly a cool effect but bad science. I want those PJs next time I fall asleep with a lit cigarette. And finally what is it with the human blood and red ivy? He never makes an effort to explain that. Teraforming of some kind?? Why vaporize people then??
And finally, why the weak, feel good, ending that unlike Signs, evokes no emotion whatsoever. Did they run out of money or anything to say? Everthing seems like Sunday morning on Baker street and how the hell did the kid get back alive. The aliens spend an hour of screen time screwing around with the father and daughter in the basement of the house, but let the kid go on his merry way in the midst of army personnel?
When will they
learn that in sci fi its all about the story and less about the dramatic?
Basically, this movie is a combination of "Day after Tomorrow",
"Signs" and "Independence Day". The characters make me
wanna KILL them and the acting was retardedly poor. Only good one is probably
the youngest actress, Dakota Fanning. She was utterly impressive, whereas
Tom Cruise just screws around like a retard, standing a few METRES away from
a monster which can end his life in 1, 2 and 3 seconds. So fun, isn't it?
Have fun guys! You would love the movie, where it would bring you ALL the
way up just to let you drop into an empty hole. It's so fun.
To those who have WATCHED the movie: If you can ever figure out why, please
tell me why is it that ALL the aliens stop functioning after ONE destruction?
And how the hell do you kill a robot by just "saving" yourself from
it? Mmm... Please help me. =)
Overall rating for "War of the Worlds": 5/10
Sorry Steven.
----------------------------------------------
-----------------
Okay enough of that. Now let's talk about another movie.
----------------------------------------------
------------------
Many many people have watched it.
Me too.
And I quite liked it!
At least it's funny. Lol...
And lame.
All in this is a good family movie. You know how all these movies are coming
out and they tell you that they are great for the whole family, but actually
they aren't. Well this one is, at least the story's good.
Plus the penguins are hilarously funny.
Overall rating for "Madagascar": 7/10

Okay that's all for today. I will be reading "The Da Vinci Code".
I have 10 months to finish the book, before the movie comes out. =)
As for now, good nitez!

It's back to school tomorrow and my room is still in a great mess. How great.

Mmm quite
meaningful hor... Haha... Anyways, I am going to take a break from homework.
I can give tons of excuses when I get back, so I don't really care. Lol...
Let's continue to blog about things which people are interested in. ^^
I watched this movie on the plane, from Shanghai to Singapore. It's a movie
which I have been very curious about eversince it's release in the States.
Besides, I've watched most of the shows which were playing on the aircraft,
hence this movie is my only option. =) Yes. "The Diary of a Mad Black
Woman."

Helen McCarter (Kimberly Elise) seemingly had the perfect life with husband
Charles McCarter (Steve Harris). Over the years, Helen has been a faithful
and loving wife, while Charles built a successful and lucrative career as
a prominent Atlanta attorney. They wear the latest fashions, drive the nicest
cars, have all the possessions they need, and they live on an expansive estate
complete with an extravagant mansion, swimming pool, tennis court and all
the trappings of wealth - a little piece of paradise away from the city. However,
on the eve of their 18th wedding anniversary, Helen's paradise begins to crumble
as Charles announces that he wants a divorce. He abruptly and literally tosses
Helen out of the mansion to make room for the other woman. With all of her
possessions packed in a moving van, Helen starts on her journey to put the
pieces of her life back together. Through the assistance of her friends, family,
faith, and a twist of fate, Helen finds the strength and empowerment she needs
to get control of her circumstances. She also finds that the tragic events
of her life soon become comic, especially with the guidance and help - mostly
unsolicited, by the way - of her pot-smoking, gun-toting, and much beloved
grandmother figure Madea (Tyler Perry).
I love the movie. =)
Despite of the fact 99.99% of the critics hate it, I still like it.
It's racist, but it's true.
Tyler Perry has managed to bring out the true problems and emotions in life
into the big screens. Great effort, a lovely production. It made me laughed
so badly and yet saddened me so deeply. It's difficult to do that. At least
for myself, I think it's difficult.
I could still remember Lucas commenting, "Walao why the show all black
one?"
Lol.
Oh wells.
1 thing learnt from the movie: Next time if you have great difficulties in
trying to wake someone up, get a gun and shoot the ceiling. =)

I cannot believe it. Holidays are over.
Time flies. It never waits for you.
It didn't. Not even for me.
This holiday has been the busiest period of my life.
Service learning camp ==> Shanghai Trip ==> Student Leaders' Convention
==> Lasallian Leadership Training Camp ==> Unfinished homework ==>
Practical exams ==> O levels oral examination.
The 5 day long LLTC was a mesmerzing experience for me. And many others.
I thought it would be a waste of time at first, as I would have chosen to
stay at homework to finish up the homework. However, if I did, I would be
a real stupid fool.
