I know you will been reading this, I must tell you that I spent so much of
time on your webbie until I neglect my own readers. Lol. I should have changed
my layout long ago. Mmm.............. Anyways, I have finally finished the
wedding webbie for Ming Fai and Pei Tze. Take
a look at it~
I bought 2 CDs, one is Nicky's "Ying Zi" and Jiang Meiqi's "Lian
Ren Xin Zhong You Yi Shou Shi"... Chao nice... Should buy nei...
I don't have time to go deep into them. I've got a camp coming up tomorrow
till Saturday. Monday is my flight. I will be so so busy.
But, I will be having fun.
Holidays, here I come~~~

I
am going to write 2 reviews today. 1) Ocean's new CD. 2) Eros.
Let's start with something closer to heart. Ou De Yang's 2nd album: "Kan
Jian Liu Se Cai Hong".
--------------------------------
------------------------
13 songs. The same style. The same voice. The same simplicity.
Maybe what we lack now is really something which sticks to its original style,
something which touches you so easily, and something which cheers you up at
the end of the day.
Ocean is one of the very few artists who can do that. No face = no distractions.
No change = keeping up with his high quality productions. No surprise = something
which may destroy him in his 3rd album.
I don't know. Everything is subjective. I may like him like crazy but you
may think he sucks. Well...
I recommend "Ting Ni Tan Gang Qin", "Liu Se Cai Hong",
"Xiao Fu Qi", "Wu Bu Lei Zhen Yu". Go buy and listen.
Good catch. =)
Overall rating for Ocean Ou De Yang's "Kan Jian Liu Se Cai Hong":
8.5/10
Next, a movie review on a movie which MAY never come out in Singapore because
of its restricted genre. A internationally known piece from 3 different directors:
"Eros".
----------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
This
is a three-part anthology film about love and sexuality: a ménage-a-trois
between a couple and a young woman on the coast of Tuscany; an advertising
executive under enormous pressure at work, who, during visits to his psychiatrist,
is pulled to delve into the possible reasons why his stress seems to manifest
itself in a recurring erotic dream; and a story of unrequited love about a
beautiful, 1960s high-end call girl in an impossible affair with her young
tailor.
Honestly speaking, the stories are like unwanted products you find in your
toilet bowls. Yes. Extremely shitty. In fact there's no story. =)
The 1st two parts of the movie, which is filmed by Michelangelo
Antonioni and Steven
Soderbergh are JUNK. J-U-N-K. R21 is not meant to be PORN. Please. No content
of any ART in it. It's STUPID. Utterly stupid.
Wong Kar Wai's installment is probably the ONLY thing worth seeing in the
entire movie. Gong Li and Chang Chen's great acting managed to save the day.
It was the only part of the movie which is worth seeing. Once again, Gong
Li had shown her experienced acting skills which Zhang Ziyi doesn't possess,
not even in a million years. Good job for director Wong Kar Wai.
Overall rating for "Eros": 4/10

It's so saddening.
Out of all the essential channels of Starhub Cable TV, I don't have channel
49. "Dong Feng" (Azio TV).
And I guess many of you know that the "16th Golden Melody Award"
was broadcasting LIVE on Dong Feng yesterday. And I don't have the channel...
So how?
Thanks to a good net pal, I came to this website: http://im.tv/
It provides free online broadcasting of this very channel. So with great anticipation,
I entered the system at about 15:30. The show starts only at 17:00 though.
The
quality is pathetic. It always hangs and lags and stops and pauses. I see
HUGE squares on my celebrities' faces. =S
But that's fine. Since it's free. At about 18:00, there are about 7000 to
8000 visitors. Sharing the SAME chatroom and SAME online viewing program.
Okay, that is also fine. Because it is FREE, as I have said. But what is UNACCEPTABLE
is that I was kicked out... with many others at about 19:30... =="lll
I was wondering: How come they kick me out when I entered earlier than anybody
else? It was then that I realised many many others experienced what I experienced
too.
Eversince then, I have been watching the award bit by bit, having to log off
and log in every 25 seconds is like killing a chicken with 1000 heads. Difficult
and tiring.
And then the host announces that there has been a boost of 20000 people on
this website at about 21:00. @@"lll And they tell everyone to log off
and log in again, saying that there will be a BETTER broadcasting program
for everyone. So like a normal human being, I trusted them. And guess what,
what turned out was something MUCH CLEARER (yay!), and much lagger and much
much slower... =="lll Can you imagine watching something which stops
after every 4 seconds, okay 5 to be exact, and buffers for like 2 minutes
before it starts to replay? OMG!!!! BIAN TAI!!!
What was even MORE shocking was that what I was looking at was usually 20
minutes behind time. =)
I want to sue ImTV.
Lesson learnt: Never, never watch TV on the net.
Oh by the way, for those who DID manage to watch the show... How come Lin
Zhi Ling came out only for a few times only as a host? Why arh why arh?
Anyways, congrats to Yanzi for clinching the best female singer award. Gong
xi~
---------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------
Now,
I am going to work on the wedding website and watch the replay of the award
later @ 17:00. =)
Happy holidays~

I wanna be in your heaven.
Congrats to Carrie Underwood~
----------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
An new American idol...
Was watching the live broadcast on 5 just now. Pretty interesting, as usual,
a great finale... Looking back, I think Carrie is like a photocopied version
of Kelly Clarkson... plus alittle bit of Madonna. Lol.
As winners of 2 different seasons of the American Idol, both Carrie and Kelly
(OMG even the name rhymes) came into the competition with curly, then straight,
then curly hair. At the finales, both of them had curly hair. =) *I hope I'm
making some sense here.* And
also, both have powerful voices and prefer to sing slow songs. =)
Whereas looking at all those people who DIDN'T win... ...they share similarities
too. Like our very own Sylvester Sim and the runner-up for this season's American
Idol, Bo. Both are rockers. Very limited in their choices of songs and they
can be really boring after sometime... That's why they can only be 2nd. =)
Okay anyways, congrats to Carrie, once again. =)
I think she has a long way ahead.
PS: I realised something. The idols in the past seemed closer to one another...
Eh... why arh?

Lyrics of today's song:
----------------------------------
-----------------------------
I feel so bad for Ms. Ong.
Honestly.
Considering her body conditions, she is probably the one who is the MOST unsuitable
to be angry. The 90 minutes scolding she gave us was really @@"lll. And
I'm actually worried about her... It's not good for her... ... ...
I think 335 can change.
I believe so.
I do.
I really do...

Yeah! I've just watched "Star Wars Episode III
- Revenge of the Sith" with Deyong and Zhao Loong... Hmm, I haven't been
following the series though, watched it for the sake of watching it. =)
Promised many people that I would review about it once I've watched it. Guess
most of you have seen the show. If you disagree with my views, tag about it.
=) I won't mind. I'll just delete your tag away. Wahahaha! No lah, just kidding.
=)
---------
-------
After three long years of relentless fighting, the Clone Wars are nearly at
an end. The Jedi Council dispatches Obi-Wan Kenobi to bring General Grievous,
the deadly leader of the Separatist droid army, to justice. Meanwhile, back
on Coruscant, Chancellor Palpatine has grown in power. His sweeping political
changes transform the war-weary Republic into the mighty Galactic Empire.
To his closest ally, Anakin Skywalker, he reveals the true nature of power
and the promised secrets of the Force in an attempt to lure him to the dark
side.
-----------------------------
----------------------------
Frankly speaking, I didn't like the movie.
The acting was ridiculously poor. Ewan McGregor's line of "I can't watch
it anymore" was classical. So retardedly fake. =="lll
The transitions from scene to scene was so poorly done. It made me feel that
I am actually watching a powerpoint presentation.
Computer graphics, there are FAR TOO much.
Okay, maybe "Star Wars" can only be created with the aid of large
amounts of CGs. And the world-class CGs did pay off. Every piece was very
neatly done. Despite of the fact that some details have be neglected, the
whole movie was actually quite well done though. At least they seem real.
=)
Battle scenes are great and most of the time, they are rather entertaining.
But not exciting enough. Don't you feel abit "lost" at the end of
the show? As in, you didn't get that very thrilling and breathless feeling
which you wanted. Well, maybe that's something missing from this latest installment.
Music was fine. The "deng deng deng deng" has been so classical,
I doubt anyone would NOT know it. Trying singing "Somewhere~~ over the
rainbow~~ over the rainbow~~" in the chorus. =="lll
Not bad I would say. Overall. Not bad. Yes, simply "not bad".
Like the movie, you may not.
Overall rating for "Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith":
7.5/10

I was in my deep sleep...
Till Artons called to "wake" me up.
=)
I wasted my day away! Haha... Have been sitting in front of the computer,
the T.V. and the phone for the entire day... Lol... So holiday mood.
Anyone watched Twin's program on MTV in the afternoon? Nevermind.
Slept at 18:00. Wanted to take a nap and then wake up at 21:00 to watch Ru
Hua. But I overslept. =S That sucks. I must set the alarm next time.
Now the time is 23:17 and I feel so refreshed and not-sleepy.

Yay I got back all my results today.
The subject which I look forward to the most is the Sec 4 Chinese prelim paper,
of course.
The reason is very simple: I am going to take a similar paper called the "O-levels"
in October. And the oral starts in July.
Okay anyways, hearing that I JUST passed my letter writing (Ying Yong Wen)
was like @@"lll. Shocking. Hence I predicted that I would get 65++ for
the entire exam.
However, this is what I got today:
Composition: 31/50
Letter Writing: 10/20
Oral: 27/30
Listening: 18/20
Main Paper: 56/80
Total: 142/200
Percentage: 71%
Yeah A2!
But honestly speaking, I wanted an A1. Oh well. I'll do that in the O's.
=)
I got 71 for my Higher Chinese as well. ^^
Satisfactory results.
Oh by the way, can I drop Physics for Art?
Mmm...
Anyways, I movied with Ah Wing just now... We both can watch NC-16 le k? Haha...
although I'm not really 16 yet... Okay anyways... We watched "The Jacket".
---------
-------
It's a combination of drama and thriller.
Shot in the head while in Iraq, Jack Starks (Adrien Brody) has returned home
only to be convicted of a murder that he didn't commit. Still reeling from
his wartime trauma, Jack is found not guilty by reason of insanity and is
committed to an institution for the criminally insane. Once there, he is drugged
by the evil Dr. Becker (Kris Kristofferson) and placed into a coffin-like
drawer on a nightly basis. Inside the drawer, after being tormented with horrific
war flashbacks, Jack is mysteriously transported to the future, where he forms
a tender relationship with the hardened, beautiful Jackie (Keira Knightley).
Aware that he
is destined to die in four days, Jack must use his new gift to figure out
what happened to him, with the hopes of altering the course of history.
Basically, the story is very very twisted and yet very very interesting. It's
not that you wouldn't understand it, it's just that you have never seen such
a thing before. You don't know if it is real or not. Because at the start
of the movie, REAL scenes of the 1991 Iraq war was being flashed for a minute
or so. However, after a while, you find it completely ridiculous for a man
to go into the future when being locked in a drawer. Well, believe it or not,
it's all up to you.
For me, I believe it that the story is true... because all stories are real.
=)
It's just that whether they had happened before.
A mind-gripping thriller. A masterpiece by Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley.
I don't give a damn of what the critics say about this movie. For me, "The
Jacket" is definitely in my 2005 - Movies of the Year. =)
Overall rating for "The Jacket": 9/10

I'll hold your hand,
and walk in the woods.
We'll look at the tress,
and observe the quiet silence.
And I'll whisper in your ear,
the beauty of all...
Then, I'll let you go.
Follow your dreams,
and don't think of me.
Let be grow old...
and forget the past.
Love...
Quintessential.
Memories.
The only thing, I can take.
But whose hand has been there?
And whose voices have been heard?
When the birds of freedom fly above me,
I know.
I know.
You have gone...
Far far away.
To that place,
called...
Eternity.
Let be
grow old...
and forget
the past.
And on that same road,
I see the same faces.
But, what is missing...
Is the smiles on your face,
the laughter of your joy,
the happiness, of your happiness.
Maybe...
When the sky gets dark,
I will look up.
And I will remember you.
I'll hope you that you will come back,
but I know you can't.
A
desire.
A hope.
A wish.
An eternity.
Let me grow old...
and forget the past.
Let me... grow old...
and forget.
The Past.

update: English - 70, Elective Geography + Social Studies - 79.
Ahh I got such unpleasant news regarding the secondary 4 Chinese prelimary

But still, mood = happy. =)
Went out with Vanez after my afternoon lessons. We had dinner in J8, and then
went for a show: "3 Cha Kou". English title: "Divergence".
----------
-----
Eh...
Honestly speaking, not bad for a Hong Kong production.
The son of shady tycoon YIU (Gallen Lo) has been kidnapped. YIU, long a target
of investigations by the Commercial Crimes Bureau for suspected money-laundering
activities, is increasingly desperate as he battles to search for his son
and to fend off police investigations..
Suen (Aaron Kwok)
is a dedicated but ill-fated cop who can never get over his girlfriend's sudden
disappearance 10 years ago;
Coke
(Daniel Wu) is a mysterious and ruthless assassin who breaks the "Code
of Killers", by probing into the details of a completed assignment;
To (Ekin Cheng) is a renowned lawyer, who represents numerous notorious crime
leaders including Yiu, and always manage to acquit his clients from their
charges.
Each of the three
men Suen, Coke and To has distinct characteristics with almost no similarities.
How will their paths intertwine and what will be the breaking point that will
cause them to diverge?
Weak story outline as usual. All Hong Kong movies are filming the same thing.
Police. Crime.
Oh well... but at least this one has some love in it. However the characters
are all lacking of something. Some parts of the movie are too cliche and some
details are totally unnecessary as they aid in no character development at
ALL.
However the real good police chasing scenes and the very rarely well done
music in Hong Kong productions are somethings that you can't afford to miss.
Acting wise... I really can't stand Aaron Kwok anymore. Lol... Li Xinjie did
a good job though. =)

Physics article reflection.
Service learning camp cheers.
Research on Louis Pasteur.
Okay. =)
Just some updates in school... there's no more Mr. Sirhan for us. =( So sad,
no more oysters... Wahahaha...
Mr. Bryan Poon is back. Let's see...
He's from Hong Kong.
He is the male version of Mrs. Joan Lee. Both talk relatively soft and aren't
those strict-looking type of teachers.
He is very organised in his presentations. (1 question can use about like
4 slides? Lol.)
He is known as the "A1" man.
He has his own 3 laws. Haha!
He seems very nice.
Well let's hope that the remaining one and a half years would be smooth and
pleasant. =)
Just some small updates on results... I actually did pretty well for this
term. I didn't fail anything so far, whereas most personals have failed like
1 or 2 or 3 or 4 subjects. I studied for my tests! Woohoo!
Okay nevermind that's totally out of point. Actually I would like to talk
about something else. Yes. The World Wide Web and the teachers of SJI.
I got pretty bored that day and I went to look for names of SJI teachers in
the Yahoo search engine with Jason. Haha! And guess what, many names that
we have tried actually rewarded us with VALID materials. =) Try typing the
names of your teachers and see what happens. =)
PS: John, you should be careful. =)

Okay. Jet Li's last official Hollywood movie was "Cradle 2 the Grave".
Which is 2 years ago? And eversince then, he has only filmed one Asian film,
which is "Hero". My all-time favourite martial art movie. So this
latest addition has left a big question mark for many people. What is this
movie about? Why did Jet Li choose this movie from so many other films? Why,
why, why?
A
struggle for freedom, a will to stop killing, a search for lost memories.
Danny (Jet Li), a slave who has lived his whole life without any sort of normal
human education, with the mind and personality of a young child, with only
one lesson learned: how to fight. Treated like a dog by his owner/boss, Bart
(Bob Hoskins) which includes having to wear a collar, Danny has been raised
to be a lethal fighting machine who fights in illegal gladiator-style fight
clubs, where he earns lots of money for Bart as the undisputed champion. After
a car accident that lands Bart in a coma, however, Danny meets a kind elderly
blind piano tuner (Morgan Freeman) on the run because he knows secrets some
bad guys don't want known, who uses music to teach Danny some things about
the world and about being human.
The story is rather new. Can't remember anything similar in these few years
of filmography. 2 points for this.
I am starting to like Morgan Freeman more and more. "Bruce Almighty",
"Million Dollar Baby" and "Unleashed". Very impressive
acting. 2 points.
Great fighting scenes. An action-packed movie. 2 more points.
The theme of love has been brought out very neatly. Every scene has a story
to tell. Additional 2 points for this aspects.
Jet Li had demostrated the true meaning of emotions and struggle. He brought
himself down and did a great job in the movie. Acting stupid and lame isn't
a very easy thing to do for such a famous Hollywood star. But he didn't fail
himself and his fans. 2 points for this.
However, some parts of the story has broken links. And the music is pretty
lousy, I would say. Minus 2 points for this.
Remember when this movie comes out in Singapore, do watch it. And when you
re-read my review, you will feel the same. =)

Mmm.
It's 21:51 now. I've been lying on the sofa for the entire day, watching the
T.V. Haha... I love this kind of life. So relaxing, so loose.
Was quite hooked on to "War of the Worlds", after watching its trailer
before watching "The Interpreter". Very "Independence Day"
and "Day After Tomorrow" like. I love watching this kind of fiction
shows alot. I can see things which I don't get to see in real life. =) If
you want to see the trailer, go to this website.
Went for my convention briefing in Catholic High today. Did like nothing?
Lol. We simply wasted time. =S Suppose to be "interacting" with

Spent the afternoon with Vanez, she was watching "Kinsey"... And
I was reading the Xi Mu Rong book. Haha... Read the stories behind each poem
she write. Very interesting. Neat. Artistic. And very emotional.
Anyways today's post shall be another movie review. I want to comment on "Kinsey".
Watched it months ago, but each scene was still very strong when I recalled
some of them just now.
----------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
First of all, this is NOT a
porn movie. It's drama. Not erotic.
It's not like the movies you see in Chinatown, where all the chi kou peh is
lining up to buy tickets. It's totally different.
It is a movie very similar to "Finding Neverland". Very low production
cost, but so much of great details and things to learn from.
Liam Neeson stars as Kinsey, who in 1948 irrevocably changed American culture
and created a media sensation with his book "Sexual Behavior in the Human
Male." Asking thousands of people about the most intimate aspects of
their lives, Kinsey lifted the weight of doubt and shame from a society in
which sex was hidden, and knowledge was dangerous. His work sparked one of
the most intense cultural debates of the past century - a debate that rages
on today.
Just in case you didn't know, Kinsey is a REAL character in our lives. He
is a professor who was actually very interested in Biology, but he focused
into sex after his first encounter with his wife. He asked thousands of people
very very personal questions about sex and published this book. Many people
then begin to see that there are actually so much of stuff which they didn't
know in the 1940s...
A very disturbing scene in the movie is that Kinsey actually had sex with
his male helper. And his wife didn't actually mind and she eventually became
friends with that guy. Days later, Kinsey gave his wife permission to have
sex with his helper.
It's stupid. It's so scary. Yet it can be so real.
But we don't get that now. Because Professor Kinsey had written a revolutionary
book, which educated the world for the first time, about this forbidden knowledge
of sex.
This movie, should be brought into the classrooms. At least the information
is true and helpful towards students.
Unlike Karma Sutra. =)
Overall rating for "Kinsey": 8.5/10

Yesterday I had a dream. I dreamt that I was walking along the beach with
God, and across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed
two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to me, and the other to God.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of life, there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life. This really bothered me and I questioned God about it.
"God, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way, but I noticed that during the most troublesome time in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in the times when I needed you most, you would leave me."
God replied. "My
precious child, I love you and I would never never leave you during your times
of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was then
that I carried you..."

May 07th
Wow what a day!
Was suppose to be at Hong Taa's party, or my class outing @ Sentosa. But I
promised my friends to go karaoking this weekend. So... mmm... I shall not
break a promise. =)
Basically the 4 of us (I think you know who) met up @ Cineleisure at 10:30.
Went to siao around in the arcade and went to K-Box at 11:00. Middle way through,
Xu laoshi smsed me! Lol. She read the poem I wrote yesterday. =P And we gave
her a call and dedicated the song "Hong Dou" by Faye Wong to her.
It's her favourite song. HAHA! It was so retarded... Lol... Xu laoshi is still
sick, so must rest well ya!
After that we went to Sembawang CD and Cang Hai bought a CD. Xiao Huang and
Yang Jun went to dunno where after that, leaving the 2 of us there. Went for
lunch in the food court, and watched "The Interpreter" after that.
Will review later, let me finish the story 1st. Hur hur...
After that Cang Hai and I went to Kinokuniya. I went to look for Xi Mu Rong's
poems and Cang Hai was reading some stupid comics. Wanted to buy the 2nd book
of hers, "Wu Yuan De Qing Chun" for Xu laoshi's birthday at first,
but I decided not to at last due to the quality of the book. If not I would
buy it down for sure.
Following that we went for dinner in the basement and bought some sushi. And
we call it a day. =)

Okay for now,
I shall do a movie review on "The Interpreter".
----------
------
Ask me how good it is and I
will never say it's bad. I'm too biased towards Nicole.
Maybe the only reason why I watch this... is because of her.
Nicole Kidman stars as African-born U.N. interpreter Silvia Broome, who inadvertently
overhears a death threat against an African head of state scheduled to address
the United Nation's General Assembly. Realizing she's become a target of the
assassins as well, Silvia's desperate to thwart the plot...if only she can
survive long enough to get someone to believe her. Sean Penn is Tobin Keller,
the federal agent charged with protecting the interpreter, who nonetheless
suspects she may not be telling the whole truth. Silvia and Tobin, by nature,
see life from different points of view: one, a U.N. interpreter, believes
in the power and sanctity of words; the other, a Secret Service agent, believes
in reading people based on their behavior, no matter what is said.
I am definitely not going to tell you everything that happened. You must watch
it yourself. However you will either love it, or hate it. For me, it's really
the 1st one.
For those who wants to see romance, don't watch. For those who only wants
to see a full thriller, don't watch. For those who hates to think, don't watch.
And lastly, for those who hates politics, don't watch.
A masterpiece which is very real. And terrifying.
Can't take my eyes of Nicole.
Overall rating for "The Interpreter": 8/10

Lastly,
this is for those who has got no idea on who on earth is Xi Mu Rong. =) I
found her picture!! At last... and the poem you see is one of my favourite
from her legendary hands.
------------------
------------
If
you are interested, go buy the book called "Qi Li Xiang" by her.
Yes, it's Jay Chou's song, named after Xi Mu Rong's poem. =) Mine was borrowed
by Xu laoshi. =P And I'm not going to return her... Heeheehee...

My emotions are so easily affected.
I can get upset with nothing happening.
Today, I realised I was deeply inspired by Xi Mu Rong's poems. And she influenced
me badly. I feel her feelings so much.
I wrote this to express these feelings:

I feel so lost. Why am I so sad after reading
these poems?
Maybe... I feel her loneliness.

1st of all let me show you something which will explain
why my pictures MAY not appear in the near future:

Yay! I finished a week of hell with a nice fullstop.
Tired, sick, sleepy.
But yet so fulfilling.
Life, is always so contradicting.
Ms. Ong, please take care. =)
Had abit of lunch with Xiao Huang and Cang Hai. Then met Yang Xiong in the
canteen, writing his lyrics. Lol. Talked alot of crap and waited for the Xu,
Zheng and Wen laoshi(s). Meanwhile, I got really bored and started taking
random photographs.
I love these still lives (I hope I don't need to remind you again that the
captions can only be viewed if you move your mouse/cursor/arrow on top of
the picture. ^^):
